This chart illustrates the average (and percent) of appreciation for Belmont homes which traded hands from 1998 to 2007. The appreciation is NOT measued from year to year, but from each year to the second quarter of 2008. For example, if you bought a home in Belmont in 1998 and sold it in 2008 the average appreciaiton would be $487,000 or 102% since purchasing the home.
